Larkspur
The Town of Larkspur offers equal parts historic town charm and modern sophistication. The walkable downtown along Magnolia avenue is studded with local favorites: fabulous shopping, Emporio Rulli Italian café, the always-delightful Picco restaurant, Perry's, Equator coffee & tea, and Backstage wine tasting room. You can catch a variety of movies, old and new, at the newly restored historic Lark Theatre. The large town park plays host to an array of recreation, from soccer to cross-country practice, children’s summer camps, a running path, a community garden, and more. Larkspur’s true claim to fame, however, is its fairytale-esque Baltimore Canyon, comprised of breathtaking woodsy trails and gorgeous homes under the protection of mountain walls and an old-growth forest canopy. Those commuting to San Francisco can enjoy what is perhaps the most pleasant commute in the Bay Area, across the beautiful bay on the Larkspur ferry. Larkspur and Corte Madera share a school district.
