Tiburon
Situated on a small peninsula across the Bay from San Francisco, Tiburon boasts coastal views from most vantage points in town. Blackie’s Pasture, a large public green that sits right on the water and offers a wide range of recreation including a walking path, a bike lane, and a large open field, all with wonderful vantage points for taking in beautiful coastal views. The Corinthian Yacht Club located in downtown Tiburon sponsors approximately 50 days of racing per year. The downtown sits right near the Tiburon ferry landing, with service to and from San Francisco and Angel Island, and offers some of Marin’s best restaurants. Bungalow Kitchen and nearby Sam’s Anchor Café and Bar are great waterfront dining spots. Woodlands Market and Rustic Bakery Café, both Marin staples, have Tiburon locations downtown as well. Tiburon and Belvedere, Bel/Tib as commonly referred to, are part of the same school district.
Angel Island is a short Ferry ride away from Tiburon. Once there, hike it or bike it to catch the amazing scenery.
One of my favorite libraries in Marin is the Belvedere/Tiburon Library. It’s beautiful and peaceful.
The views are spectacular along the trails in Blackies Pasture Park. The soccer field along the way is a marvelous place to watch a local soccer game.
